Postcard pictures
Often sent to friends with written greetings within custom hand-made envelopes, these miniature explorations of collage and text have become coveted and appreciated gifts amongst a global network of artists, designers, and collaborators, with many suggesting they should be more public and shared.
Mostly re-purposing pre-used postcards as a canvas, they combine all manner of found ephemera and printed detritus with painted forms, framing and magnifying the written word.
As a less formal, 'private' aspect of his work that sometimes overlaps with the more well known text based public artworks, the ongoing series continue to explore a space, sometimes diary, somewhere in the shadows of the great Schwitters and Roth.
A selection of postcards painting are for sale here, all artworks are signed on the reverse and are shipped in unique hand-made envelopes without frames. Frames for postcards are widely available and make a good off-the-shelf solution.
