The Nonsense Alphabet is an A to Z trail around a new flagship health & leisure centre in Knowsley, Liverpool. Inspired by the Victorian artist and writer Edward Lear who wrote much of his nonsense poetry nearby, the work is a confection of letters from a team of artists, designers and craftsmen combining to create a bespoke alphabet for the building. The modern nonsense was written by the local community, builders and school children.
