The idea behind the Fish Pavement was to encourage people to visit the lesser known parts of Hull. Inspired by labels from fish crates found on the pavement, The Hull City Trail or Fish Pavement is an A-Z of sea life from anchovy to zander. Examples include flounders at bus stops, monk fish outside Blackfriars Gate, plaice in the market place and a granite shark outside Barclays Bank.
